Term 1 - week 6 period 3

Today Mr Cameron started off by talking to us about how long we have left before the big performance, and where we should be at with everything which helped put me put perspective on all the things I need to prepare and how long I have to do for it. For instance getting my characterisation and costume for Mr Pilkington complete and learning how to work the lights since I am in charge of them.

We also went through all the dates and times that we would need to put in extra time in after school and the weekends.

Next we went through scene 5. Since we have been working on the first few scenes of the play we though it would be a good idea to work on the second half, which we didn't have much practise on. this meant that I had my first proper scene with Jessie (Mollie). In the scene I have to act quiet creepy as I, Mr Pilkington, try to entice Mollie with sugar and ribbons to come work for me. I had trouble trying to sound creepy and weird so I ended up focusing on rehearsing my lines rather than getting my voice right. I will work on my accent, tone and playing the character, Mr Pilkington at home so next time when I go through the scene I know exactly what I am doing and not wasting time.
